This anorak hoodie takes inspiration from the U.S. Army M-43 anorak and updates it with a contemporary silhouette.
The fabric is a vintage-inspired nylon-cotton cloth woven with nylon in the weft for a firm and substantial feel. Its surface has a crisp, dry touch while retaining just the right amount of structure, creating a distinctive appearance when worn.
The generous shoulder width and roomy body create an oversized silhouette that is easy to slip on. Two flap pockets are placed on the front, while leather accents at key points add contrast to the rugged texture. A drawcord at the hem allows the silhouette to be adjusted. Functional elements found in military wear are incorporated into a design that remains comfortable and easy to wear every day.
The nylon-cotton fabric undergoes an extended bio-wash treatment to create the natural wear marks of a well-worn garment. The different shrinkage rates of cotton and nylon produce subtle puckering and an expressive surface texture. The result is a piece with a vintage character that blends naturally into contemporary styling.
